The food was delicious. No enthusiasm in the staff whatsoever. We asked if sausage was link or patty.... Waiter replied "yes" The entire staff must have just returned from a funeral.

Fairly abysmal. They had the saltiest (non-dried) bacon I've tasted in years, the "extra ingredients" were unnoticeable, burgers are cooked somewhat past well done and into dried (or even slightly burned if we choose not to believe that was intentional char), and, in general, it was not a pleasant meal. They get a little credit for OK fries and not outright going into greasy territory, but I certainly won't be eating there again. ...I'm really not joking about the intolerably salty bacon. One of my dinner companions has the horrifying habit of putting salt on literally everything, including fruits, and even she couldn't manage to stomach it.

The service here is very friendly and the atmosphere nice. The food is good, and the have a breakfast buffet on Sundays that's not bad! (It's only available till 2pm)

Huge plates of delicious gravy smothered chicken fried steak and chicken. With a fantastic salad bar. The soup was a little bland but still delicious. Excellent service and casual atmosphere.

Yes, I loved this place. It was so charming. I came on Sunday and enjoyed their wonderful buffet. One of the best features of the buffet was their homemade waffle boats. They also have an omelette bar. The owner and staff were a delight. They have an outside covered patio. Not really any bugs or flies. It was super comfortable.

Home cooked meals! They have a great staff and the food is always hot and fresh! Jack and Janelle are great people and you definitely won't walk away hungry unless it's your own accord! They have a lunch salad buffet and on Sundays they have a huge breakfast buffet that will definitely leave you satisfied! Stop in today and check it out for yourself.

Home style diner, good portions for the price, locally owned. Jake was nice and offered advice for things to do since we were from out of town. My local family said they also enjoy the food. Skip the chains and have some good local food.

Wow! Real home style food, fast! My fried mushrooms did not come out of a freezer, they were battered and fried to order. A mountain of mushrooms. Salad bar is clean, fresh, and well stocked. Meat loaf is at least as good as what I make. I havent heard a word out of my husband since his massive chicken fried steak was delivered. Oh, he says it's the "real deal."

Meh... the food was alright. We chose to eat at the soup bar, there was only 1 spoon left, we asked our server for another spoon and she said she would get them right on that. We ended up sharing the one spoon, the other spoon came when dinner was served. Soup would have been cold. Ordered a glass of milk with the meal, that never came and no one ever checked back on us, so we didn't get that either. Nothing special. If you skip this place you aren't missing a thing.

The one star rating for this establishment does not reflect the food or the staff, but the appalling attitude displayed by the management during our visit today (14 May 19). The managers of the past have been polite, but whoever was in charge today (14 May 19) needs a massive attitude adjustment. Rudeness beyond anything I have experienced before, especially directed at my nearly 80-year-old grandmother. The threatening demeanor directed at the waitress, who was severely overwhelmed as it was, added to the negative atmosphere. Severely disappointing experience.

Loved the family working in the Resturant! My mother-in-law was jazzed to meet the real Jack behind the restaurants name! They had a wonderful veterans and active duty wall that we noticed as we walked in! Great homemade chicken fried chicken! Truly loved this little mom and pop family run Resturant! Good prices for good food, a great google recommendation and a quick visit if your heading to or from Mesa Verde Park!

Great employees and food. After a day on the road we stopped for a quick afternoon dinner. The food was homemade and large servings. We returned for dessert that evening and was not disappointed.

Always as expected..good home cooking..good friendly service..just no nonsense good food..my favorite restaurant...actually the only restaurant I frequent.

The food and service was great. My only complaint is that they charged $6 for a side of mac and cheese and then served Kraft mac and cheese. Kraft is fine, but I wished it would have been advertised and priced as such. I wouldn't have spent $6 on it had I known (I could have bought 6 boxes for that amount). But otherwise great.

Had a wonderful experience dining here tonight while in town visiting Mess Verde! We had a sweet new waitress, who side she'd only been there a week but she gave us great recommendations on what to order and she was right! It was all delicious! So 5 stars for service and 5 stars for food!!

Place is killer! Great home style cooking. The BBQ sauce is incredible. Christo was super good, and the deserts are amazing! Service was great, and the owners are super friendly. Would definitely recommend!

On my way from Centeral Texas to WA state I stopped off at Jack &Janell's for breakfast before I headed to Utah,the services was great the place was clean and the coffee was good. For breakfast I always try ones Country Fried Steak,it's my goto,usually if CFS is good everything else is,the crispy hash browns I asked for was spot on as well as the over med egg,NOW the steak it self was good but like damn near every place I have been in the US the sausage gravy falls flat and this place was no exception,I don't know what it is I guess most every place looses their quality control and creativity for breakfast gravy its very sad considering good gravy is super easy to make just need chicken stalk/bullion herbs and a little corn starch/flour and if one really wants to get creative add some ground sausage and a soft cheese in the mix and people will be Raving about the gravy.🤔

The service wasn’t the best and the the Mac and cheese was precooked or something. It had crispy layers and was soggy. Way over priced. My friends hash browns weren’t cooked and my other friend plate wasn’t clean. Could definitely use some work. Other than most of the experience, it was amazing.

My husband and I were traveling through from Four Corners Monument and read one of the previous Yelp reviews about the gluten-free options offered here. First off, there are almost no gluten-free dishes on the menu. Second, our waitress acted as though we had taken away her birthday by coming in and making her "work". I ordered the "famous" green chili soup. Miss Personality threw an empty bowl in front of me without any instruction or pleasantries. Seriously people, save your money for a different place to eat that will make you feel welcome!

The food was a little better than average. The gravy was not from a powder or canned. The mashed potatoes were not instant. The glazed chicken although had a good flavor did not have a glaze. The pork chops seemed to be a mechanically processed pork product. Don't expect your plate to resemble the photos in any way. Being Father's Day, I found the service to be very good. The booth seating was old and broken down. Overall, it was an OK place but we are not likely to return.

So mixed feeling about this place. I for starters love Mom and pop places to eat they are usually the best, but this one feel short. The place needs a little bit of love and I think it would be better but what made me give it 2 stars is this. After and while finishing our meal me and my wife started getting sick I thought maybe from something before but we hadn't eaten anything yet that day so what ever it was was there. Sad I had really hoped this place would be great

We've been on a month-long road trip and this is the best breakfast we've had on the road their malted waffle is to die for their country fried steak is hand cut and tenderized then hand breaded and fried and is excellent they know how to cook eggs well worth the stop

Service is amazing. We are currently trying to find a way home because the road has a mud slide, and the people here are trying to help us, staff and locals. Now back to food. Food was amazing. We each enjoyed our food. Highly recommend coming hear.

Consistently good food. Sakad bar is good, and fresh. Love the Vegi Burger. Navajo taco lunch special also very good.

We've been coming since our trio were very young...now a family of 7 and the food and owner has not changed. Great food! Great service! Friendly country atmosphere. If you want a nice homemade breakfast. ...THIS IS THE PLACE ! LOVE IT! SATISFIED!

Stopped in while traveling. The food was delicious. We all had the soup and sandwich special. The soups were all very good. I had a very good Reuben. Service was excellent!

The service is great but occasionally the food is so so. We loved the last Sunday brunch. They had a chef preparing made to order omelettes and waffles. He was having some trouble with the waffle maker though so we didn't get our waffles until we were almost finished with our meal.

This is a cozy little place with a lot of country charm. The food was delicious and made from scratch. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch with old friends there. I highly recommend it.

My favorite thing about Jack and Janelle’s was the pet-friendly covered patio that was just perfect for a big traveling family like ours that needed a place to stretch our legs and our let’s paws! We ordered burgers, ribs, chicken strips and trips to the salad bar which was a nice bonus for what we were expecting in a road trip lunch stop.

Good home cooked meals! I have yet to have a meal I didn't like. This is a good family friendly place. I hosted my son's birthday here. They did there best to accomodate us.

The taco made with Indian fry bread was outstanding. My wife's barbecue chicken would have been much better if not for the huge amount of barbecue sauce it was covered in.We enjoyed the home made coconut cream pie. Yum.
